An architect from Navi Mumbai, presently working with a reputed software company based in Kharadi, and his friend were injured after the axle of the car broke down on North Main Road of Koregaon Park.
Samrat Kamble (30) and his friend Naveen were heading towards the railway station from Kharadi when the accident occurred around 12.30 am in front of Valentina society. Naveen got a scratch on his forehead.

Police constable R D More of Koregaon Police Chowky, said, "Kamble's friend, Naveen was in an inebriated condition. However, it is still unsure who was behind the wheel when the incident occurred."
"The duo knew that the car was having some problem, but continued to drive despite it being unsafe," More added.
