In a bid to involve citizens in counter-terrorism activities following the terror attacks in Mumbai, the state Central Investigation Department (CID) yesterday finalised plans to hold a three-day exhibition of security gadgets in the city.

Starting March 7, the expo is being jointly convened by the NASSCOM, Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) and CID.

Additional Director General (CID) S P S Yadav said international participation is expected. The expo will also include self-activating surveillance cameras to pre-empt terror strikes. "The gadgets will help people, industries, institutions and the police to pre-empt crime," he said.
