The Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) on Thursday submitted the report regarding the CD containing a purported conversation between the expelled SP leader Amar Singh, lawyer Shanti Bhushan and SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav to Delhi Police.

What next? Shanti Bhushan.

The police are however tight-lipped about the contents of the report. Delhi police spokesman Rajan Bhagat said that for the sake of the investigation, the contents of the report cannot be disclosed. However, conflicting versions about what the report contains are doing rounds.

While one claims that the CD has not been tampered with, the other version suggests that the CD has been thoroughly tampered with. Delhi police meanwhile have sent second CD pertaining to the conversation between the three to CFSL. The investigation of the case has also been transferred to Special Cell of the police.

'No resignations'
Activists Arvind Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi have ruled out their resignations from the Lokpal Bill draft committee because of the "malicious campaign" against them. At a press conference in Delhi, they said the civil society was united and the "entire malicious" campaign launched by some "corrupt elements in and out of government" was aimed at derailing the drafting of a strong Lokpal Bill.

"There is no question of anybody resigning from the joint committee. No one will resign. We are at a historic juncture where we are going to have a strong anti-corruption law. We are not the ones who run away from battle zones."
