Jet Airways cuts fare by almost half on tickets purchased in advance
The New Year airfare bonanza is still on and fliers have never had it so good. Even the premium Business Class traveler can expect a few special treats.
Jet Airways on Monday announced a scheme to offer substantially cheaper rates on advance purchase of tickets on less-frequented domestic routes for Business Class travellers. The reduction is almost up to 50 per cent.
While the full fare of a flight between Bengaluru and Mumbai is Rs 14,510, if you book the ticket three days in advance, it will cost you only Rs 8,000.
Similarly, while the cost of a regular ticket between Guwahati and Kolkata is Rs 9,630 if it's booked seven days in advance, it will be reduced to only Rs 4,500 (without taxes).
The scheme has come into immediate effect and will be valid for tickets purchased till January 31. On January 1, 2009, the airline had reduced its fares by up to 40 per cent on several domestic routes.
