Boy killed during demolition drive in Aurangabad

A 15-year-old boy was killed and two others were injured today during a demolition drive undertaken by the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), police and civic sources said.

The boy, along with his two friends, was collecting scrap when the slab of a shop fell on them during the anti-encroachment drive in Shahgunj locality in late afternoon, they said.u00a0


The deceased was identified as Farhan Khan Kadar Khan. An angry mob of more than 100 people pelted stones on the demolition squad after the incident.


The AMC administration has declared a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the family of the deceased and Rs 25,000 each to the injured.
