Two men suffered severe injuries when they met with an almost fatal accident yesterday while riding their bikes.

In an accident at Indrayani Nagar near Bhosari around 10 pm, Hindurao Jagtap (34), a resident of Bhosari and Yogesh Phuge (30) from Phugewadi collided with each other head-on, which resulted in severe injuries for both of them.u00a0

Head Constable Prabhakar Tambe from Bhosari police station said, "Constable Santosh Horke from Sangvi police station was on his way back home when he saw a crowd gathered. When he went to the spot he found both of the boys lying unconscious."

"Horke took the help of a car driver Sajan Pillai to take the injured to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial (YCM) hospital in Pimpri. The friends and the relatives of the two were then informed. We are investigating the case further," said Tambe.

u00a0Doctors on-duty at YCM Hospital said, "Jagtap's condition being critical, we requested him to be transferred to Aditya Birla Hospital." Doctors at Birla hospital refused to comment on the incident. Jagtap was shifted to the Intensive care unit of the hospital and his friends and relatives were also unavailable for comment.
