In my film, Amitji plays a Mumbai gangster who settles in Paris, but returns to the city on a mission. Since he has lived in one of the style capitals of the world, he is depicted as a stylish man. And in real life too, Amitji is stylish. Recently, when we wanted to do a photo shoot for the film, we were discussing the styling of the character. Amitji took me to his wardrobe and showed me his outfits. There were so many colourful sunglasses, suits and pants in there. He even owns a pair of tiger print trousers. Who buys pants like that? He knows what looks good on him; he sat with the stylist and designed his look.

Reason 2: Because Amitji is still a hit with the ladies.
In the film, Raveena plays his girlfriend. Amitji still has the power to make women swoon over him. When you watch the film you will understand his appeal. While shooting, the girls on set would fall all over him.

Reason 3: Because Amitji can fight without a body double.
Amitji appears calm and respectful, but deep down, there is anger coursing through his veins. He was waiting for an action-oriented script like Bbuddah Hoga ufffd He has done all the action sequences convincingly. When one watches the film, it will appear as though he is really physically fighting with the goons. He is very energetic. We were in awe when we shot the climaxu00a0-- not once do you feel it's exaggerated or impossible. He makes the action believable. And he refused to use a body double.

Reason 4: Because Amitji can still dance up a storm.
Amitabhji is a natural at dancing; his moves are fluid. We have taken a couple of hit songs from his earlier films and made a medley. He did a fantastic job while dancing to those. The song was choreographed by Remo, but we stuck to typical Amitabh steps. After every shot, you had people on set clapping and cheering because they were going into flashback. We miss watching him in that avatar. He still dances the same way as he did back then. It is difficult to believe he has aged.

Reason 5: Because Amitji is in sync with today's sound - he created the rhythm and a guitar sound with his voice.
Amitji has sung three songs in the film. In the film's theme song, we didn't use special rhythms ufffd it was all his voice. He created the rhythm and guitar sound using his throat.
None of his contemporaries would be able to pull that off. He sings like a professional singer, and is good at composing too. Amitji composed and sang a song 'Haal-e-dil'; and he has composed it according to today's tastes.

Reason 6: Because at 69, Amitji remains hungry for more.
I have worked with several heroes and none of them have asked me, 'What is the scene scheduled for tomorrow?' at the end of a long day's shoot. After pack up, Amitji would always inquire with me. He would take the scene, read it on set and even lug it home. Everyone else tends to run home after pack-up; not him. Which Indian star practices scenes at home? He is 69 but hungry for work. I would often hate to ask him to stay back on set but he was always cooperative. Ask him to come at 10 in the night for a shoot, and he won't say no.
