BJP is emerging as the largest party in Maharashtra Assembly polls, leading in 51 of the 114 seats, where trends are available so far

Mumbai: BJP is emerging as the largest party in Maharashtra Assembly polls, leading in 51 of the 114 seats, where trends are available so far.


Shiv Sena is leading in 21, Congress in 24 and NCP in 18 out of the total 288 seats.


Former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan is leading in south Karad in western Maharashtra, over his nearest rival Vilaskaka Undalkar.


Former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar is leading in Baramati, while former Home Minister R R Patil is trailing in Tasgaon seat against BJP nominee Ajit Ghorpade.

Former Chief Minister Narayan Rane is trailing behind Vaibhav Naik of Shiv Sena in Kudal seat of coastal Konkan.

State BJP core committee member Pankaja Munde, the daughter of late Gopinath Munde, is leading in Parli Assembly constituency over estranged cousin Dhananjay Munde of NCP.

Rahul Thakre, son of MPCC chief Manikrao Thakre, is trailing in his constituency in Yavatmal district.

Former President Pratibha Patil's son Rajendra alias Raosaheb Shekhawat (Congress) is trailing in Amravati.
