Close on the heels of an eight-year-old boy being sexually assaulted by a doctor at AIIMS, another shocking case of sexual abuse of a minor has surfaced in the Capital.
An 11-year-old girl was repeatedly raped by her two neighbours for about a month in Patel Nagar. The girl is a class IV student of a government school in the same area.
The accused Mohd Umar (20) and Anil Kumar (45) were arrested on Monday after the victim's uncle approached police with a complaint, a senior police official said. "Anil allegedly raped her several times in the past one month while Umar sexually assaulted her once," the official said adding the incident came to light when the victim told her sister who in turn told her uncle.
