A 19-year-old girl from Haryana stabbed her younger brother to death for having teased her. The horrific incident took place in Haryana's Rohtak district on Saturday.
The accused, identified as Chanchal Rani, was upset after her brother teased her about her relationship with a boy. In response, Chanchal hammered her brother unconscious and stabbed him to death. She then proceeded to hide the body inside the storage compartment of a bed.
Chanchal even told her mother that her father had committed the crime. A report in the Times of India quotes Manjeet Singh, the SHO at the Sadar police station of Rohtak as having stated, "Initially, she said that her father Tejpal had attacked the duo but she somehow managed to escape. Acting on mother's complaint, we had booked Tejpal. But during the course of investigation, we picked her up and interrogated where she confessed to have murdered him."
The report further states that Chanchal showed no signs of remorse while confessing to the crime. While Chanchal was pursuing her higher education from an open school, her 15-year-old brother, Dhruv, was a Class IX student at the Samargopalpur village. A case of murder has been registered against the accused.
