Ganesh Chaturthi, commemorating the birth of Lord Ganesha is set to commence from September 19 this year. Lord Ganesh has been associated with wisdom, prosperity, and good fortune. Mumbai is all set to witness the most awaited and loved festival of the year. Aagmans of several famous Ganesh Pandals have begun in the city of dreams. Idol of Khetwadi cha Ganraj was welcomed with huge enthusiasm in the 12th Khetwadi lane of Mumbai. The mandal is famous for making the tallest Ganpati idol. Several cultural activities were performed at the Aagman Sohla which included dhol tasha, rangolis and cultural performances. Girgaon area of Mumbai witnesses several pandals like Lal Baug cha Raja, Mumbai cha Raja among others to celebrate the vignaharta. Ganesh Visarjan will be observes on 28th September this year.
