Visuals showed scores of students lined up outside their designated examination centres as they revised moments before their test.
Some students could be seen looking up a chart that displays their seating arrangement for the duration of today's test.
These visuals are from outside three prominent Mumbai colleges-- St Xavier's, Poddar and Mithibai.
Some students were spotted speaking to their families over a phone call ahead of the examination to help calm their nerves.
Reportedly, as many as 15,13,909 students will be taking the Maharashtra HSC exam 2024 as compared to last year's 14,57,293 students.
The morning shift will be commencing at 11 am and conclude at 2.10 pm while the evening shift will begin at 3 pm and conclude at 5.10 pm.
Unlike before, students will be receiving 10 extra minutes at the end of the exam to complete their papers.
The Class 12 exams will be held across 3, 320 centres in Maharashtra with the majority examinees from Mumbai and Pune districts.
Maharashtra state board conducts examinations of all three streams--Science, Arts and Commerce--at the same time.
Reportedly, this year, number of students of Class 12 in Science stream are equal to the combined strength of those pursuing Arts and Commerce streams.
