The RDMC said that the incident was reported to the disaster management unit at around 2:12 pm following which the civic officials rushed to the spot to locate the boy. The personnel from the disaster management cell, the fire brigade and other civic officials have been conducting a thorough search operation in the vicinity of the incident. The incident took place at Papadkhind dam, where a group of people went for an outing on Sunday evening. Three boys in the age group of 10 to 11 years were playing in the water, when they were swept away, an official said
People nearby managed to rescue two of the boys, but were unable to save the third one, the official said. The fire brigade rushed to the spot and fished out the body of Om Borade, he said, adding that a case of accidental death has been registered
