The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) on Monday deployed a team for rescue and relief operations after a huge hoarding collapsed in Ghatkopar
The NDRF said, "One team of NDRF officials was deployed at Ghatkopar for operations. A total number 67 people have been rescued so far"
The civic body said that 59 people have been injured in the incident who have been shifted to hospital for treatment. Three people were declared brought dead by the doctors
An advertising hoarding along the roadside had collapsed on nearby houses and petrol pump thereby more than 100 people were likely to be trapped, the BMC said
The Mumbai Fire Brigade declared the incident as a 'Level II' call at 1658 hrs and later it was declared as a 'Level III' at 1825 hrs on Monday
The NDRF, Mumbai Police and other civic officials launched a massive rescue operation following the incident
Those injured were immediately shifted to hospital and were being treated by a team of doctors
