The rally is scheduled for April 9, 2024, coinciding with Gudi Padwa, wherein MNS chief Raj Thackeray will be addressing the public.
Permission for the rally to be held at Shivaji Park was granted by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation a fortnight ago.
Mumbai Police has issued a traffic advisory in anticipation of the MNS's annual rally, known as 'Padwa Melava,' to be held at Shivaji Park in Dadar.
The Padwa Melava organised by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena attracts scores of supporters and followers from across Maharashtra.
With a large number of supporters expected to arrive at Shivaji Park for the Padwa Melava, traffic congestion is anticipated, especially on the Western Express Highway and Eastern Express Highway leading to the venue, said the police.
Given the influx of vehicles expected for the MNS rally, Mumbai Police has implemented traffic management measures to mitigate congestion and ensure smooth flow of traffic.
Since the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 are around the corner, all eyes will be at MNS chief Raj Thackeray.
Suspense is thick due to the talks of MNS joining hands with BJP for the upcoming polls and Thackeray's meeting with several top leaders of the party & CM Shinde.
