Maharashtra Deputy CM and senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis was present at the event held on Thursday morning.
Other dignitaries of the saffron party, including MLA Mangal Prabhat Lodha, were also in attendance.
Floral tributes were offered to the statue after its unveiling by members of the Koli (fisherfolk) community.
BJP President Nadda is on a two-day visit to the metropolis to review the preparations for Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
Nadda arrived in the city on Wednesday and met BJP office-bearers from all 36 assembly constituencies apart from the party MPs and MLAs.
He also addressed the party workers on Wednesday evening; during his address he said that the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024 will be between dynastic politics, corruption on one side and development on other.
The saffron party presient also advised the party leaders to use social media and seek support from renowned public figures on issues of public interest.
