Mumbai News LIVE Updates: WR`s to operate night block this weekend between Mahim and Santacruz stations

The Western Railway has undertaken a jumbo block from 1 am to 4.30 am on Sunday on the Up and Down Slow lines between Mahim Junction and Santacruz stations for the maintenance of track, signaling and overhead equipment. During the block, all the Down Slow line trains will run on the Down Fast lines between Mumbai Central and Santacruz stations.

The Central Railway on Friday said it was planning to curtail existing foot over bridges at Kurla station upto platform 7, and to maintain the east-west pedestrian movement, was building a skywalk connecting all station foot overbridges up to the Tilaknagar-end. The construction of the Kurla Flyover, an integral component of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT)-Kurla 5th and 6th Line Project (17.50 km) has recorded substantial progress between January 2024 and April 2025.

One person was arrested for alleged possession of ganja worth Rs 3 lakh in Maharashtra`s Palghar district, police said on Friday. Based on a tip-off, a team from the Mira Bhyander Vasai Virar (MBVV) police laid a trap and apprehended the accused with the contraband in Virar on Wednesday night, senior inspector Shahuraj Ranavre, according to PTI.
