Talking to reporters after the conclusion of the over three-week-long Budget session of the state legislature, he also said the Mahayuti government was working towards ensuring that the state`s growth rate speeds up.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday hailed the Constitution, saying it has weathered many storms in 75 years and that nobody can tamper with it in future as its supremacy over both judiciary and legislature has been established.
Speaking in the legislative assembly over a debate on the 75 years of the Constitution, Fadnavis said the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and prohibition of cow slaughter were mentioned in the directive principles of the state policy of the Constitution, and those who criticise it have not read the Constitution.

Mumbai News LIVE Updates: Torres investment scam: ED takes into custody suspected Hawala operator
A special court here on Wednesday remanded suspected Hawala operator Alpesh Khara in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) till April 1 in a money-laundering case linked to the multi-crore Torres investment scam.
Khara was in judicial custody following his earlier arrest by the Mumbai police`s Economic Offences Wing (EOW).
