A man was arrested here on Wednesday for allegedly killing a person by attacking him with a concrete block during a road rage incident in Santacruz (East), police said. Ahmed Ansari, the accused, had allegedly hit Omprakash Mahul Sharma (41) with a `paver block` (used to pave footpaths) on Sunday.

Mumbai News LIVE Updates: Man killed in road rage affray, one arrested
A man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly killing a person by striking him with a concrete block during a road rage fight in Santacruz (East),an official stated, reported PTI.
Ahmed Ansari, the accused, had allegedly attacked Omprakash Mahul Sharma (41) with a `paver block` (used to pave footpaths) on Sunday.
Ansari, who was riding a motorbike with his wife, suddenly stopped in front of Sharma which led to a quarrel, the official said.
The couple then attacked Sharma. The accused, Ansari, allegedly picked up a paver block from the road and hit Sharma on the face multiple times.
As per PTI, Sharma was taken to hospital by some by passers, and was allowed to go home after treatment.
On Monday Sharma fell unconscious. He was again admitted to hospital where he died on Wednesday

Mumbai News LIVE Updates: Rupee rises 19 paise against US dollar
Rising for the fourth straight session, the rupee appreciated 19 paise to close at 86.37 against the US dollar on Wednesday, supported by a positive trend in domestic equity markets and lower global crude oil prices.
However, a strengthening American currency against major currencies overseas ahead of the US Federal Reserve`s interest rate decision capped the sharp gain in the local unit, forex traders said.
At the interbank foreign exchange, the rupee opened at 86.60 and touched the intraday low of 86.68 against the greenback. The unit also hit the day`s peak of 86.36 before ending the session at 86.37, up 19 paise against its previous close.
