Mumbai news live updates: Three held for house breaking theft in Kashimira
Three persons were arrested for alleged involvement in a house breaking theft in Kashimira area of Thane district, a police official said on Thursday. The HBT took place on December 8 and items worth Rs 8.06 lakh were stolen, Deputy Commissioner of Police Jayant Bajbale said. "After checking CCTV footage and working on technical inputs, we arrested Shamim Harun Shah, his mother Saidunnisa and Salim Harun Shah. All the stolen items have been recovered. Shamim has three cases against his name," he added.

A 28-year-old man was arrested for allegedly abetting the suicide of a woman in Bhiwandi in Thane district, a police official said on Thursday. Ganesh Yemulwar was held on Wednesday on the complaint of the 28-year-old victim`s father, the Bhiwandi Town police station official said. "As per the complaint, Yemulwar used to harass the woman, which resulted in her ending her life in her marital home in Kamatghar on Wednesday," he said.
