The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday said it has attached assets, including diamond jewellery and flats, worth more than Rs 70 crore of DHFL promoters Kapil Wadhawan and Dheeraj Wadhawan as part of a money laundering probe linked to an alleged bank loan fraud case. The probe against the Wadhawans pertains to "cheating" a consortium of 17 banks to the tune of Rs 34,615 crore and the money laundering case stems from a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) FIR, the agency said in a statement. A special court in Mumbai has declined bail to a sub-divisional officer (SDO) involved in a case related to the construction of a resort in Dapoli, coastal Ratnagiri district. Mumbai News LIVE Updates: CR announces integrated traffic & power blocks for infrastructure works

Central Railway, on Thursday, announced the operation of Integrated Traffic and Power Blocks between Titwala and Kasara stations in the North-east section of Mumbai. These blocks are necessary for conducting various significant infrastructure-related works, the officials said in a media statement. The block will be conducted on the intervening night of Saturday (October 28) and Sunday (October 29) for a duration of five hours. The arguments over the disqualification petitions against Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and other MLAs before assembly speaker Rahul Narwekar may continue till next week, said Anil Sakhare, the lawyer of the Shinde group, on Thursday. Speaking to reporters on the premises of Vidhan Bhavan, Sakhare said, "We sought permission from the speaker to submit evidence in support of our arguments. The Thackeray faction has opposed it. The arguments over the petitions will continue till Tuesday or Wednesday next week. The speaker will give his order later."
