Mumbai News LIVE Updates: Cyclonic storm expected in Arabian Sea: IMD issues warning
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that a low-pressure system in the southeast and adjoining southwest Arabian Sea has evolved into a depression. Forecasts suggest that it will further intensify into a cyclonic storm by the morning of October 21, and potentially escalate into a severe cyclonic storm by October 22. The trajectory of the storm is projected to move north-north-westwards, ultimately heading toward the South Oman and adjoining Yemen coasts. Earlier, the IMD had issued a weather warning for Mumbai in light of the developing cyclonic storm in the Arabian Sea. However, the latest updates indicate that the city may not experience significant impacts.
