Two groups clashed with each other by pelting stones and torching several vehicles in Maharashtra`s Akola on Monday, police said. The clash was triggered by an accident when an auto driver rammed into a bike driver in the Harihar Peth area of Akola city. Both belonged to different communities, and according to Akola SP Bachan Singh, both cars were burned and stone-pelted. Additional security personnel have been deployed to maintain peace and prevent further violence. (ANI)

On October 8, 2024, at around 1:41 am, a fire broke out at an establishment in Diva in Thane district, officials said. They said that the incident happened at Shivshakti Dairy on Sabegaon Road in Diva. The blaze destroyed two large refrigerators, a small refrigerator, and other dairy supplies. Luckily, no injuries were recorded. Firefighters completely extinguished the fire by 2:53 am, and cooling operations were completed by 3:41 am.
