Mumbaikars are likely to witness moderate rainfall with the possibility of heavy to very heavy showers today. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said moderate rainfall with possibility of heavy to very heavy showers in Mumbai and its suburbs on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, a high tide of 4.18 metre is expected at 2.12 pm in Mumbai today. Also, a low tide of 0.70 metre is likely to occur at 8.17 pm on September 14.
In the 24-hour period till 8 am on Wednesday, the island city received 41.20 mm rainfall, while the eastern and western suburbs recorded 39.89 mm and 39.04 mm rainfall, respectively.

According to the IMD Mumbai, from June 1 the Colaba observatory recorded a total rainfall of 1889.1 mm, while the Santacruz observatory recorded a total rainfall of 2423 mm.
Heavy overnight showers in Mumbai caused water-logging in some low-lying areas, but the water receded after the rain intensity reduced on Wednesday morning, civic officials told PTI. Some parts of the city witnessed clear sky and sunlight for a brief period in the morning.
Meanwhile, trains and buses were running normally in the city.
