In a shocking video, which was shared by the Ministry of Railways on Twitter, a man, lying on the tracks, is saved in the nick of time when an alert train driver pulls the emergency brakes right on time.


In the video, which was captured on CCTV, the man can be seen walking towards the rail tracks and lying down as the train approaches. The train is halted in time and stops some distance away from the man. Later, we see, railway police personnel running towards the person to rescue him.




The video captioned, “Commendable work done by the motorman: At Shivdi station in Mumbai, the motorman saw a person lying on the track, he saved the life of the person by applying emergency brake with promptness and understanding.  Your life is precious, someone is waiting for you at home,” received 6.5k likes on Twitter and users lauded the motorman’s alertness.

"My Salute to the Great Motorman for saving the life of a whole family by saving this person life because they all must be depending on him," commented one.

"God bless the Engineer driving this train! What a save indeed. It clearly shows the professional training imparted to their employees by Indian railways. Happy ending!!" posted another.
