Earlier in the day, their mother Rajani Bhagat had filed an FIR against Sheetal at the Khar police station for allegedly trespassing into the lavish house with the help of a few bouncers on Monday.

Senior Police Inspector Ramachandra Jadhav confirmed that they had also received a call from the control room about a break-in at the Pali Hill house on Monday.

Yusuf Iqbal, Sheetal’s lawyer, told mid-day, "After Rajani filed the complaint, police officers came to Sheetal’s Pali Hill house and gave her a notice while asking her to report to the police station on Friday. But after they left, Poonam entered the house with five people and harrassed Sheetal. She then locked her in a room." He further said that they would soon take action against Poonam. "Sheetal is rightfully entitled to the said bungalow, as she is the co-owner along with her sister (Poonam) and her mother," Iqbal added.

Sheetal had recently moved the small causes court against her sister Poonam alleging that she feared her sister "would illegally enter and disturb her possession". But the court on Wednesday refused to take away Poonam’s rights.

Advocate Mayank Chandan, Sheetal’s lawyer, said, "Sheetal filed the suit just to protect her rights in the property as she is the heir and a family member. The order clearly observes that Sheetal is the legal heir and is also a shareholder of the company, which owns the property. The court has also further observed that a co-owner and co-tenant cannot be restrained from enjoying its property at the insistence of another co-tenant or co-owner."
