A picture of a man bowing down to a Mumbai local train before boarding is going viral on the internet and it perfectly sums up Mumbaikars’ relationship with the lifeline of the city.

The Mumbai local train service was resumed on February 1 after 11 months of shutdown and lakh of Mumbaikars have already started availing the service.

Not only did it leave the internet delighted, it also touched social media star Anand Mahindra’s heart. He shared the image on his twitter account and wrote, “The soul of India...I pray we never lose it...”

Take a look at some of the tweets.

After the Mumbai local train service was opened to all, BMC said that the next 15 days will be crucial to understand the spread of COVID-19 following the development.

Additional commissioner Suresh Kakani said, "We feel that the next 15 days will be crucial and after that we will be in a position to comment whether the cases are going up due to local trains or not. We are keeping a tight watch on the daily cases and are also making preparations for the ongoing vaccination drive."
