Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray met with Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in Mumbai today on Wednesday. The meeting marks the first time Uddhav Thackeray met his former ally Ajit Pawar since the latter joined the Eknath Shinde government.

After the meeting, Uddhav Thackeray expressed his desire for Ajit Pawar to work diligently for the welfare of the state and its people. The former chief minister highlighted that he had worked with Pawar during his cabinet tenure and was familiar with his style of functioning. Ajit Pawar was Uddhav Thackeray's deputy in the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government.
Uddhav Thackeray expressed confidence that the people of the state would benefit from Pawar's leadership as he holds the position of finance minister and has access to the state's treasury.
