A lightning-caused fire burned a house in Khaire village, Shahapur, and killed four buffaloes, according to a civic official on Tuesday.
According to disaster control official Vasant Chowdhari, lightning struck the house overnight between Sunday and Monday. The fire swiftly engulfed the entire edifice, turning everything to ashes, reported PTI.

The report added that in addition to the four buffaloes that died, five more livestock were hurt. The revenue department assessed a total loss of Rs 6.68 lakh.

A high tide of approximately 4.11 metres is scheduled to hit Mumbai at 3.43 pm today, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The local council also stated that a low tide of around 1.92 metres is forecast at 9.56 pm today.
The IMD also reported the commencement of the southwest monsoon over Mumbai. Rain fell in Mumbai earlier on Sunday, signifying the beginning of the predicted weather activity. According to the IMD, the southwest monsoon has moved to sections of the central Arabian Sea, south Maharashtra, Telangana, south Chhattisgarh, south Odisha, and other coastal Andhra Pradesh areas.
The Monsoon season began two days earlier this year, as it usually does on June 1. Mumbai had significant rains after 7 p.m. on Monday, with 50 mm of rain falling over a 24-hour period that concluded in the morning.
