A dyeing factory was destroyed after a fire broke out in the unit in Maharashtra's Thane district, civic officials said on Wednesday, reported news agency PTI.

No one was injured in the blaze which erupted at around 10 pm in the factory located on Kalyan road in Bhiwandi town, Bhiwandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation's disaster management officer Sakib Kharbe said, reported PTI.
After being alerted, local firemen along with two fire engines rushed to the spot and put out the blaze in one-and-a-half hours, he said, reported PTI.
Most of the materials in the factory were reduced to ashes, the official said, reported PTI.
The cause of fire was being investigated, he added.
In another incident, a fire broke out in a 14-storey residential building in Tilak Nagar area of Mumbai on Wednesday afternoon, officials said, reported PTI.
There was no casualty, they said.
The blaze erupted at around 12.30 pm in a flat on the fifth floor of Sahajivan Tower located near Chembur-Santacruz link road flyover, a civic official said, reported PTI.
The fire was confined to electric wiring and installations, household articles and clothes in the flat, civic officials said, reported PTI.
"No one injured in the fire," an official said.
Four fire engines and other fire brigade equipment were rushed to the spot and the blaze was extinguished in less than 30 minutes, officials said, reported PTI. The cause of the fire was not yet known.
Earlier, three godowns were gutted in a fire that erupted in a complex in Bhiwandi town of Maharashtra's Thane district on Sunday, and no casualties were reported in the incident, a civic official said, reported PTI.
The blaze erupted in a godown, which had drums containing chemicals, at a complex in Rahnal around noon, civic disaster management officer Sakib Kharbe said, reported PTI.
The fire spread to two adjacent godowns where yarn cones and scrap materials were stored, he said.
While no one was injured in the incident, the three godowns were completely gutted, the official said, reported PTI.
Four fire engines, including three from Bhiwandi and one from the Kalyan Dombivili Municipal Corporation (KDMC), were pressed into service and the blaze was brought under control by 4.30 pm, he said, reported PTI.
Due to the presence of the drums containing chemicals, the surroundings were engulfed in thick smoke and a foul smell pervaded the area, reported PTI.
The cooling operations are underway and the cause for the fire is yet to be ascertained, the official said, reported PTI.
