A 25-year-old man was stoned to death allegedly by his father-in-law and another person, following which the duo was arrested, police said on Monday

A 25-year-old man was stoned to death allegedly by his father-in-law and another person, following which the duo was arrested, police said on Monday.


Man stoned to death in Thane, two arrested


The incident took place on April 21 at Mulla Wadi, in Padgha village, in Bhiwandi in the district, an official attached with Thane district rural police said. The deceased Anil Bhoir seeing his father-in-law Arun Bhandari and one Bandya Jadhav quarrelling, tried to intervene, he said.


However, the duo stoned him to death, police said, adding they were apprehended yesterday.

Following a complaint by Anil's wife Reshma, a case under section 302 (murder) and other relevant sections of IPC was registered and investigations are underway, police said.
