Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut voiced a strong reaction on Tuesday, stating that despite his party's significant representation with 16 MLAs and 6 MPs, Shiv Sena (UBT) was conspicuously snubbed from the Maharashtra government's all-party meeting concerning the Maratha reservation. Raut criticized Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, emphasizing the exclusion of Shiv Sena while highlighting the participation of a party without any lawmakers.

Expressing discontent on a social media platform, Raut criticized the government's actions. Raut posted on the social media platform, X, "What to do with this government? Even though Maharashtra is on fire, his shameless politics continue. Chief Minister called an all-party meeting on the Maratha reservation. Shiv Sena was not invited to that meeting. Shiv Sena has 16 MLAs and 6 MPs. The case is going on in the Supreme Court. Invitation to those who have one MLA. Those who have no MLA are also invited. But Shiv Sena is in the eye. Ambadas Danve is invited as the Leader of the Opposition. Ok. We don't want to be pampered. But solve the question. Save the life of Jarange-Patil. The element of extra-constitutional government has been filled. The time of reckoning is drawing near. Jai Maharashtra!"
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde called for an all-party meeting on Wednesday, aiming to address the escalating situation in the state amid the intensifying Maratha quota agitation.
The unrest intensified with activist Manoj Jarange on an indefinite fast, which he temporarily halted after assurances from CM Eknath Shinde. However, Jarange-Patil remains resolute in his demands, insisting on placing Marathas under the OBC category by issuing Kunbi caste certificates.

In response to the ongoing agitation, the state government accepted the first report presented by the Justice Shinde committee, issuing a Government Resolution (GR) to establish the procedure for granting Kunbi caste certificates specifically to Marathas in the Marathwada region.
CM Eknath Shinde reaffirmed the government's commitment to providing Maratha reservations that adhere to legal standards. The Shinde Committee's review unearthed 13,498 records of Kunbi caste out of over 1,74,45,432 checked records until October 30. The committee faces the challenge of reviewing old archives in Modi script or Urdu language, emphasizing the complexity of the process.
Furthermore, the committee instructed 8 District Collectors to inspect records and compile a comprehensive report for the government concerning Maratha reservations.
Despite these government initiatives, the exclusion of Shiv Sena from the all-party meeting remains a focal point, emphasizing the ongoing discord regarding the Maratha reservation issue in Maharashtra.
