On Thursday, a training aircraft with two persons onboard crashed near a village in Pune district, officials told PTI. According to the report, the pilot and one more person on board the plane were taken to a nearby hospital. The cause of the crash is yet to be ascertained.

The officials said that the flight belonged to a private flight training academy. Without divulging much details about probable injuries, they said that the crash happened in Baramati taluka on the district.
"A training aircraft belonging to Redbird Institute (Redbird Flight Training Academy) crashed near Katfal village under Baramati taluka at around 5 pm. The pilot and one more person, maybe the co-pilot, were on board, and they were taken to a hospital," Prabhakar More, inspector, Baramati police station was quoted as saying in the PTI report.
