The IMD's head SID, Climate Research & Services at Pune, K S Hosalikar, tweeted, “Nowcast Warning issued at 2200Hrs Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning & mod to intense spells of rain with gusty winds reaching 30-40kmph is likely to occur at isol places in districts of Mumbai & Palghar during next 3 hours. Take precautions while moving out.”

On Monday morning, IMD’s Santacruz observatory recorded the maximum temperature at 33.9 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 27.2 degrees Celsius, while the Colaba observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 33.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius.
