"We recorded the statement of Sherlyn Chopra today. We are verifying her statement. If needed, Chopra can be called again," an officer told mid-day on Wednesday.
The Cyber Cell had filed an FIR after receiving a complaint from a 67-year-old retired customs officer. The case has been registered against Chopra under relevant Sections of the Indian Penal Code and Information Technology Act. Six OTT platforms have also been booked in this case.
The complainant had said that when Chopra's name was entered on the Google search engine, her obscene videos appeared on the screen. He had uploaded these videos on a pen drive and handed it over to the Cyber Cell.
"There should be an action on the person who uploaded such pornographic films on the Internet. Such films have a bad effect on children," the complainant told mid-day.
