The city and suburbs experienced rainfall on Saturday which brought much relief to Mumbaikars who were witnessing daytime temperatures of around 33 degrees.

Post noon, parts of Mumbai such as Ghatkopar, Mulund, Thane, Parel, Dadar and Mahim experienced few spells of rainfall.

Besides, there was moderate rainfall in parts of Navi Mumbai, including Vashi and Airoli. Daytime temperatures remained at 35.5 degrees and minimum 23.2 degrees until 5.30 pm. Only traces of rainfall were recorded.

The IMD has predicted rains or thundershowers in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Konkan belt for the next 48 hours. Temperatures are expected to remain between 33 degrees maximum and 23 degrees minimum.
