The Khandeshwar police in Navi Mumbai have booked a 19-year-old swim coach for allegedly clicking obscene pictures of a 35-year-old teacher in the changing room at a pool where she attended swimming lessons. The police detained the youth and seized his mobile phone, but later released him as the offence is bailable.

According to the complainant’s statement to the police, the incident took place around 10.45 am on June 14. “She went to the pool at her usual time. When she went to change into her swimsuit, she got suspicious on noticing some movement near the room. When she took a closer look, she found the trainer lurking there, clicking her pictures. She immediately filed a police complaint,” said an officer.

The youth, identified as Aditya Laxman Fadke, has been booked under IPC section 354 (C) (watching or capturing a woman in a private act without consent). “We visited the  spot, which is a makeshift pool without proper facilities. We are following up with the owner to see if they have all the permissions and have taken safety measures there,” added an officer.
