While the daily cases dipped further on Monday, the test positivity rate (TPR) saw a marginal rise as COVID-19 deaths remained the same in Mumbai. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), 174 cases were registered along with two deaths. The TPR was 0.55 per cent.

The state saw a significant rise in new cases. As per the state health department report, 569 cases were reported along with 5 deaths.
The state’s case fatality rate remained constant at 2.12 per cent as 498 recovered and got discharged on Monday. Currently the state has 6,507 active cases.
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) saw a marginal dip in new cases. As per the state report, 265 cases were reported in the MMR including cases from Mumbai.
Apart from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai reported the maximum number of daily cases in the MMR with 33 new cases. It was followed by Thane Municipal Corporation which reported 21 cases.
While Kalyan-Dombivli saw 14 cases, Vasai-Virar reported 9 cases. Raigad saw 4 cases and Panvel saw 6 cases.
MMR, excluding Mumbai, registered zero deaths.
