It seems the concerns of Mumbai University LLM students over their upcoming examination have become a joke for the varsity. Instead of January 17, the exam would now be held on January 23. However, the students are of the opinion that an additional five days would hardly help them in preparing for the examination. Hence, they have decided to boycott the exam.
Sachin Pawar, who is also the president of Law Students Council, said, "This shows how serious the university is about its students. Two days back they opened another round of admissions, but scheduled the exam for January 23. This means more failures, more re-evaluations and photocopy applications. It's so frustrating that I was forced to take this decision."
Speaking to mid-day, Leeladhar Bansod, PRO and deputy registrar, MU, said, "Considering the students' demand, the examination has been postponed. The varsity has issued a revised timetable for LLM semester I examination. It will begin on January 23."
