An expert from Skymet Weather, a private weather forecasting agency, said, “The capital city remains in queue for the commencement of the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon. The city has overshot the expected date of October 8 and the withdrawal is expected to be delayed by a week. The extended session of the monsoon is favouring a few spells of rain lasting till the weekend.”
