Mumbai continued to see a significant dip in both daily cases and the test positivity rate (TPR) along with single digit Covid-19 fatalities on Saturday.

According to the BMC report, there were 6,43l cases along with four deaths. The city’s TPR was registered at 1.46 percent, lowest this year. In the third wave, the highest TPR recorded in Mumbai was 29.9 per cent on January 6. On February 1, for the first time this year, the TPR had fallen below two and was at 1.55 per cent. At the peak of the second wave, the highest number of single-day infections had stood at 11,163.
Out of the four Covid-19 fatalities, two had comorbidities and all of them were above the age of 60. The recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 1,402 patients were discharged. The doubling rate improved and now stands at 666 days. As per the report, 11,394 new cases and 68 deaths were reported across the state.
