As part of its beautification, the whole of Shivaji Park was illuminated with new additional lightings, and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray unveiled the LED projector lights put up around the statue of  Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on Thursday.

The multi-coloured changing LED projector lights will highlight various facets of the statue. The entire park has been illuminated with about 42 LED multi-colour globe lights along the pathway. The lights will be operated online.

The colour changing projector lights will also highlight the waterfall and trees near the Bengal Club. There are also 25 decorative bollards along the pathway and LED lights to highlight the facade of the Meenatai Thackeray statue, Shiv-Rajyabhishek murals and deepstambh. All the entrance gates of the park will have 32 uplights.
