After complaints about walk-in registration for those aged 45 and above, the BMC has limited this facility. People in the age group will get their first dose but only through pre-registration. Vaccination at civic-run and government centres will begin after 12 pm on Wednesday. The BMC asked people in the age group of 18-44 years to come only with registration and those aged 45 and above to only come for the second dose on Wednesday. Those coming for second dose can come directly.

On Tuesday, 2,134 people between 18-44 years received their first dose, 21,587 people took the second dose, 3,224 frontline workers and those aged 45 and above got the first dose. Of the total 26,944 doses administered on Tuesday, 769 were given by H N Reliance hospital and 290 were given by Nanavati hospital.
Drive-in facility at Dadar
A drive-in facility for vaccination was started on Tuesday at Kohinoor Parking Lot, Dadar. Senior citizens and the differently abled persons with mobilisation issues can avail it. They have to pay parking charges of Rs 60 and can spend the 30-minute observation period inside their vehicles. “365 people were vaccinated at the drive-in on Tuesday,” said Kiran Dighavkar, assistant commissioner, G North ward.
