Police arrest the two culprits; besides the victim, the video had been sent to her friends and WhatsApp groups including the one which has her husband as a member

A man who made an intimate video while with a woman was arrested by the police along with his other paramour who shared the video online. The victim was unaware that the man with whom she had been intimate not only secretly filmed the act, but had also shown it to his other paramour. The Borivli police arrested the 43-year-old woman and her 28-year-old boyfriend for allegedly circulating the intimate video via several WhatsApp groups, including one that had the victim’s husband as a member.
According to police sources, the victim, who resides under the jurisdiction of the Borivli police, left her 39-year-old husband in 2021 and moved in with her parents. She met the 28-year-old accused and began a romantic relationship with him. The accused also had an affair with the 43-year-old woman.

The victim received the intimate video last week and called her boyfriend, requesting him to delete it. He told her that his other lover had taken his phone. The next day, a common friend of the victim and her husband informed her that the video had been posted in a WhatsApp group that included her husband. The victim immediately approached the Borivli police to lodge a case, according to an officer from Borivli police station.
“A case has been registered under Sections 354(C), 509, and 506 of the IPC and various sections of the IT Act. The investigations commenced under the guidance of DCP Anand Bhoite, senior police inspector Ninad Sawant, and police inspector Pradeep Kale and their team. The man was arrested on Saturday and the woman was arrested on Sunday. Both were produced before the court and remanded to police custody,” said a police officer.
During the investigation, two mobile phones were seized from the accused. It was revealed that the intimate video of the complainant was circulated to various WhatsApp groups, including the group in which her husband was a member,” said another officer.
