The Western Railway, while sharing Mumbai local train updates, on Friday said that it will carry out night block between Mumbai Central and Mahim railway stations on the weekend.

In an official statement, the Western Railway's Mumbai division said, to carry out maintenance work of tracks, overhead and signalling equipment, a Jumbo block of four hours will be taken on up and down fast lines between Mumbai Central and Mahim stations from 00.15 hrs to 04.15 hrs during the intervening night of 04th/05th May, 2024.
According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, during the block period, all Fast line trains will be operated on Slow lines between Santacruz and Churchgate stations.
"There will be no block in the day time over Western Railway Suburban section on Sunday, 05th May, 2024," the Western Railway said on Friday.
WR to provide additional stoppage to Bandra Terminus-Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Katra summer special train at Valsad
In an another statement, the Western Railway said that for the convenience of passengers, Western Railway will provide additional stoppage at Valsad station to summer special Train No. 09097/09098 Bandra Terminus – Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Katra Special Train.
According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the details are as under:-
Train No. 09097 Bandra Terminus – Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Katra Special has been provided with additional halt at Valsad station w.e.f journey commencing Ex Bandra Terminus on 05th May, 2024. The train will arrive Valsad station at 00.25 hrs and depart at 00.27 hrs.
The Western Railway further said, similarly, Train No. 09098 Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Katra – Bandra Terminus Special has been provided with additional halt at Valsad station w.e.f journey commencing Ex Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Katra on 07th May, 2024. The train will arrive Valsad station at 07.00 hrs and depart at 07.02 hrs.

Meanwhile, last week, the Western Railway had said that to carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment, a jumbo block of three hours was taken on intervening night of April 27 and April 28 on the up and down Diva lines at Vasai Road Yard from 00.15 hrs to 03.15 hrs.
