Western Railway to operate jumbo block between Vasai Road and Bhayandar station on May 20, check details

According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer of  Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, during  the block period, all Slow line trains will be run on Fast  lines between Virar/Vasai Road to Borivali/Bhayandar

Western Railway, while sharing Mumbai local train updates, on Friday said that it will operate a jumbo block at night on May 20 between Vasai Road and Bhayandar station.

An official statement said that a jumbo block of 3.5 hours will be taken from 01.00 hrs to 04.30 hrs during the intervening night of May 20 and 21, 2025.


It said that to carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment, a jumbo block of 3.5 hours will be taken on UP and Down Slow lines from 00.30 hrs to 04.00 hrs between Vasai Road and Bhayandar station in the intervening night of Tuesday/Wednesday, i.e. on 20th /21st May, 2025.  


According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer of  Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, during  the block period, all Slow line trains will be run on Fast  lines between Virar/Vasai Road to Borivali/Bhayandar.

Due to the block some Up and Down local trains will remain cancelled, it said.

"There will be no block in day time over Western Railway Suburban section on Sunday, 18th May, 2025. The detailed information to is available in concerned station master’s office," Western Railway said.

Western Railway to provide additional stops to two pairs of trains at Palghar station

In an another statement, Western Railway said that for the convenience of passengers, Western Railway will provide additional stoppage at Palghar station to Train No. 22955/22956 Bandra Terminus– Bhuj Kutch Express and Train No. 12490/12489 Dadar–Bikaner Express on experimental basis.

According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer, Vineet Abhishek of Western Railway, the details are as under:- 

1. Train No. 22955 Bandra Terminus–Bhuj Kutch Express has been provided with additional halt at Palghar station w.e.f journey commencing from Bandra Terminus on 17th May, 2025. The train will arrive Palghar station at 19:00 hrs and depart at 19:02 hrs. Similarly, Train No. 22956 Bhuj-Bandra Terminus Kutch Express has been provided with additional halt at Palghar station w.e.f journey commencing from Bhuj station on 17th May, 2025. The train will arrive Palghar station at 09:34 hrs and depart at 09:36 hrs. 

2. Train No. 12490 Dadar – Bikaner Express has been provided with additional halt at Palghar station w.e.f journey commencing from Dadar on 18th May, 2025. The train will arrive Palghar station at 16:14 hrs and depart at 16:16 hrs. Similarly, Train No. 12489 Bikaner – Dadar Express has been provided with additional halt at Palghar station w.e.f journey commencing from Bikaner on 20th May, 2025. The train will arrive Palghar station at 11:12 hrs and depart at 11:14 hrs.
