Full-sized statue of Bal Thackeray
Permanent electric LED lighting has been installed on the full-sized statue of Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray, which is erected in the Fort area of South Mumbai on the Traffic Island by the A-Ward office of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.

This illumination will be adding to the beauty of the Fort area and the statue, said officials. The inauguration was done by Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray. The CM expressed his satisfaction at seeing the statue and the traffic island that was lit up with LED lights, said civic officials present at the event.

A 24-watt wall washer with a 50-watt floodlight has been used for electric lighting on the statue and the traffic island.
