A fire incident occurred in a seven-storey residential building situated in the suburban area of Dahisar in Mumbai. The incident unfolded on Tuesday evening, and fortunately, there were no reported casualties, according to a civic official.

A report in PTI stated that the fire originated in a flat located on the fourth floor of the Sadguru Building in the Babali Pada locality at around 7:45 pm. Swift emergency response measures were put into action, with four fire engines promptly dispatched to the scene. Firefighters worked tirelessly to extinguish the blaze, successfully achieving this around 8:30 pm.

The good news is that the fire was contained within the confines of the flat where it originated. There was no escalation of the flames to other parts of the residential building. This immediate and effective response by the Fire Brigade was vital in averting a more extensive disaster, the report read.

While the fire was successfully brought under control, the exact cause of the blaze remains unknown at this time. Investigation into the cause is likely underway, and it will help determine whether safety measures, such as fire prevention protocols, were in place and followed in the building.

Recently, a fire that erupted in a seven-storey residential building in Goregaon on Friday resulted in a loss of at least seven lives, including two minors, and left 51 individuals injured.

The incident was initially reported at 3:05 am nearly a week ago, with the blaze engulfing the Jay Bhavani building located near Azad Maidan in Goregaon West. The fire was successfully extinguished at 6:54 am the following morning.

Upon receiving the news, the injured victims were promptly transported to two prominent hospitals in Mumbai, namely HBT Hospital and Cooper Hospital, to receive necessary medical attention. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) reported that among the seven casualties, there was one male, five females, and two minors.

The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) swiftly mobilized to the scene, deploying eight fire engines, five jumbo tankers, a water tank, a turntable ladder (TTL), and a quick-reaction vehicle to facilitate rescue operations.

According to the fire department's assessment, the fire primarily affected ground-floor shops, resulting in the destruction of various materials, two parked vehicles, four other vehicles, a meter cabin, and the ground plus upper-floored structure. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
