The Panvel city police have arrested the fifth suspect involved in the conspiracy and plot to kill actor Salman Khan. This individual was allegedly planning to assist the other conspirators by providing accommodation as they conducted surveillance on Khan's residence in Bandra, his farmhouse in rural Panvel, and other areas in Goregaon. In total, 21 people have been implicated in the conspiracy, with five arrests made so far, while the search for the remaining 16 suspects continues.

The police said, “The accused, Deepak Hawasingh Gogalia, alias Jani Valmiki, 30, was a resident of Tigrana, Bhiwani, Haryana. He was taken into custody from Haryana with the help of local police on June 1 and after transit, remand brought to Panvel," said the police officer.
The police said the arrested accused is one of the accomplices of Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar gang who plotted to kill actor Salman Khan. "He had participated in arranging the accommodation for the shooters as well as the vehicle used to commit the crime. He was constantly in touch with the shooters through video call," said a police officer.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Panvel Division, Vivek Pansare, communicated with the Haryana police. Subsequently, Bhiwani Superintendent of Police Varun Singhala provided Pansare with information about the suspect's location. The Haryana police team then apprehended Jani Valmiki and transferred him to the custody of the Panvel police.
The investigation saw a major development when a WhatsApp group, created by the suspects on social media, aided the police in tracking down and capturing the individuals involved. Identified as Dhananjay Singh Tapesingh, alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahayi, Vaspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna, and Zeeshan Khan alias Javed Khan, and the four accused previously arrested are now under police custody. Further investigation is underway and a case has been registered under Section 115, 120 (b) 506 (2) of the Indian penal code.
