Sasan, who played the character Paridhi in daily soap ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’ was not at her Mira Road flat when the incident occurred. She said she had left the house at around 10.30 pm on Wednesday to attend her aunt’s birthday celebration. At around 4.30 am, the building secretary called her and informed her about the burglary. When she reached her place over an hour later she found her lock was broken and her wardrobe was ransacked.

They latched the doors of all other apartments from outside and broke into two, where no one was present. It is clear that the gang had kept a watch on the society and knew who had left their houses,” Lovey said. The CCTV footage shows men clad in briefs and vests thrashing the guard and entering and exiting the building.

Additional SP Subhash Vauche said, “We have registered a case of robbery under Sections 394 (Voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery) and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention). The investigations are on and with the help of CCTV footage we are trying to locate the accused.”
